Ownership and management
JPSIM is the official journal of the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine. The Society is the sole owner and publisher of the journal and is responsible for its website, its finances and its long-term preservation. Day-to-day management of the journal is carried out by the Editor-in-Chief and the editorial team named on the Editorial Board page. The journal is not owned by, or published on behalf of, any commercial publisher.
The print edition of the journal is printed by Talal Publisher. The printer has no role in editorial decisions; it is engaged by the Society only for printing and distribution of issues.

Editorial independence
The Society appoints the editorial team but does not interfere in editorial decisions. Decisions to accept or reject a manuscript are made by the editors on the basis of peer review and the journal's Editorial Policies and Ethical Compliance standards, independently of the Society's officers, sponsors and advertisers. Submissions from editors, board members and Society office bearers are handled under the separate policy described in the Editorial Policies.
Funding
The journal is funded by the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine and by the article processing charges described on the Fee Details (APC) page. Readers pay no charge to read or download articles. Sponsorship and advertising are handled as set out in the Editorial Policies and have no influence on editorial decisions.

Authors retain copyright. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence.
