Both fees are paid together, in one payment of Rs 20,000, when the original article is submitted. Nothing further is payable after acceptance. Payment does not guarantee that an article will be accepted or published.
How to pay
Payment is made to PAKISTAN SOCIETY OF INTERNAL MEDICINE through the interbank fund transfer (IBFT) service:

After paying, upload a screenshot or photo of the transaction receipt at Step 3 of the online submission (the line “Bank Deposit Slip / Payment Screenshot”) and enter the transaction ID and date shown on it. The submission wizard shows the same amounts as this page.
Every article must also be accompanied by the Ethical Committee / IRB approval letter.
Refund Policy
- The submission fee (Rs 5,000) is non-refundable.
- The processing fee (Rs 15,000) is refunded in full if the article is rejected at desk screening, that is, before it is sent for peer review.
- Once an article has been sent for peer review, neither fee is refunded.
To ask about a refund, write to the editorial office at editor@psimj.com, quoting the manuscript number and the transaction ID.
Waiver Policy
The journal does not currently offer fee waivers or discounts. The fees above apply to all authors and are the only charges made for publication; there is no charge for readers to access or download any article.
